As VP of Preschool Digital Content at Nickelodeon, I oversee all new preschool series for our expansive YouTube ecosystem—shaping the creative, steering the vision, and helping build the next wave of big, bold Nick IP.
I keep production nimble, fun, and full of heart—finding clever ways to deliver top-quality animation at scale without losing the humor and charm that make Nickelodeon, well, Nickelodeon. From early concept to final upload, I work hand-in-hand with creators, dev teams, and audience experts to make sure our YouTube-first series click with kids on the platform they use most.

Kid Cowboy is Nickelodeon's first series to be produced and launched on YouTube. Created by pop music impresario Freddy Wexler and executive produced by the legendary Emilio Estefan, this series follows a brave young cowboy who protects his futuristic Mexican city from villains like Manny Mallow and his evil chinchilla, all while staying true to the Cowboy Code ( “Be Brave! Be Kind! Be True!”).

Thanks to our friends at Digitoonz and Chris Papa for the awesome animation!

We got to bring the Backyardigans back — and it was as fun as it sounds! This new series of music videos sends three of the classic characters on brand-new adventures, powered by updated versions of their most iconic songs. We teamed up with the incredible folks at Safari Riot and the Pop Ups to give these tracks a modern pop spin — the kind of thing you’d hear playing on a cool older sibling’s playlist. And a huge shoutout to our longtime collaborators at Cartuna, who helped reimagine the look and animation for this next-gen revival.

This is one of over 50 Blue’s Clues & You Nursery Rhyme music videos we’re making for the YouTube channel. It’s also one of my favorites. This episode takes the classic B-I-N-G-O melody and takes Blue and friends on a trip to the zoo!
I co-created the custom 3D animated series with Skylar Apter, and we both serve as EPs alongside Chris Papa with Dayna Gonzalez serving as our Supervising Animation Producer.
The powerhouse production team at Digitoonz is behind all the beautiful animation. Our in-house designers Aleksey Nuzhnov, Dagan Moriarty, Jon Hutton, Amanda Fuller, Adam Reed, and Aaron Stewart created the look and assets. Writers Skylar Apter, Hilary Van Hoose, Lindz Amer, JP Meier, and Laurie Rabin created the stories. And composer/producers Robert Hann, Kathy Hann, and Gleam MacRae made the best preschool bops you’re ever gonna hear.

This episode is from our second season of Rhymes Through Times and stars the Bubble Guppies’ very own Zooli playing the trailblazing poet Amanda Gorman! The three other new episodes celebrate Aretha Franklin, Satchel Paige, and Lewis Latimer.
I had the honor of co-developing and co-EPing this project alongside creator Lasette Canady and Julius Harper as a co-pro between Nick Jr. YouTube and Noggin. With original songs by Chris Jackson (Hamilton) and animation by Lionforge (Hair Love) and directed by Saxton Moore, Rhymes Through Times is a mini-musical series highlights important figures throughout American Black history.

What happens when you mix the PAW Patrol, Kraft Mac & Cheese and super sisters Dani and Dannah? This thing!
This is one of three episodes we made for this branded series, which took the Bronze in the Best Influencer & Celebrity YouTube Campaign category at the 2021 Shorty Awards.
It was a ton of fun to make (almost entirely remote!) and couldn't have done it without the incredible Dani and Dannah, our director Stan Okumura, my co-writer Skylar Apter, and everyone else at Nick, especially Michel DeAscentiis, Jonathan Tsang, Aaron Singer, Jessica Ferrer and Aleksey Nuzhnov.

One of the most popular trends for kids (and anyone, really!) on YouTube are claw machine games. So we coopted the format and made a Nick Jr. version of a claw machine filled to the brim with plushies. This first episode was a hit right out of the gate with over 1m organic views in its first week.
It was produced, directed and edited by Stephanie Neptune and shot by Steve Carmona and Amanda Carmona.

I worked with Chris Papa and writer/producer Skylar Apter to create this original YouTube series for the Nick Jr. channel. The series reimagines our most popular Nick Jr. characters as big, bold, bouncy balloons who go on floaty adventures learning about mindfulness, playing games and telling stories. Skylar wrote, produced, directed and edited. Chris Papa created the characters, Aleksey Nuzhnov designed and Dave Colicchio provided the animation.

Costume dress up is huge on YouTube. So are the PAW Patrol. I worked with producer/editor Stephanie Neptune to combine both and create this live action costume guessing game series. We shot four total and this is the first one. It’s for our most popular show. Can you guess which one? PAW Patrol!
Within in three days it reached over 300k organic views.

One of the challenges of working with clip-based content is to think of new ways to present the material. Knowing that carnival-style spinning wheels are popular on YouTube, I pitched this concept to see if it would stick. And it did! It got over 2 million organic views in a week.

Kids have always loved pretending to be their favorite characters. And on YouTube it’s no different. I worked with producer/editor Adrienne Silverman to create this series of live action shorts that feature kids going on adventures with the PAW Patrol. We shot four in one day and this is the first.

As nursery rhymes become more and more popular, we need to find ways to make the same songs sound fresh. So I rewrote the Wheels on the Bus with some edgy synths and recorded a new version featuring Marshall and Rubble from the PAW Patrol. Working with producer/editor Paul Seo, we made this video using Adobe Character Animator and put the pups…you guessed it…on a bus!
I recorded the track in GarageBand at my desk and mixed it with Jon Friedner at Nickelodeon.

To celebrate summer, we took two classic camp songs and turned them into Nick Jr. sing-a-longs. I wrote new lyrics and recorded new versions of these songs with Roy Harder. Producer/editor Paul Seo took previously designed characters and used Adobe Character Animator to create this custom animated music video.
The combination of popular songs and custom animated Nick Jr. characters proved super successful as the video reached 700k views in less than a week.
And here it is on YouTube.

Kids love their families, they love Nick Jr. characters and they love singing and dancing. I combined all four of these things in this one song I wrote and video I produced with Paul Seo. The combination proved successful, with the video reaching over 250k organic views in one week. I recorded the song on GarageBand and mixed it with Aaron Nevezie at the Bunker Studio with vocals by Addie Hays.

I’ve written dozens of kids songs over the year. Here are some of my faves!
Writer/Producer/Composer
I wrote this song and produced this music video to reinvigorate Sprout's Kindness Counts campaign. It's a kindness pep rally featuring some 30 kids singing and dancing in a makeshift gymnasium.
The video was directed by Sally Tran and produced by Ghost Robot. The track was produced and recorded by Aaron Nevezie at The Bunker Studio with vocal production by Hyper Ballad.
If you search "Kindness is a Muscle" on YouTube, you'll find lots of videos of kids performing the song themselves! This video even featured an entire class performing the song at an assembly. Super proud of that.
Writer/Producer/Director/Composer
I produced and directed this music video for a song I wrote about the days of the week. Kids love repetition, silly dancing and dressing up in costumes. This video combines all three with brilliant performances by Carly Ciarrocchi and Matt Fornwald. The video was edited by Howard Ellis and the song was produced and recorded by Jared Tuttle.
It was one of the most watched video on the Sprout YouTube channel.
Writer/Director/Composer
This is a music video for the UniKids show Snug's House. I wrote this song with the incredible Carly Ciarrocchi and produced the track with Aaron Nevezie at the Bunker Studio. What starts off as a simple song and video gets weirder and weirder in the most wonderful way.
I produced and directed the video which was shot by Norm Magnunson and edited by Neil Dombrow with animations by Keith Vincent.
Writer/Producer/Composer
Just in time for Halloween, here's a bone shaking song I wrote for Universal Kids. I recorded and produced the song with Aaron Nevezie and Nolan Thies at the Bunker Studio. The video was produced by Insomnia and edited by Neil Dombrow.
This was nominated for a PromaxBDA 2018 award for Best Holiday Branding Spot. It didn’t win. But I still like it.
Writer/Producer/Composer
Because my It's Not Summer Without Sprout went over so well, we decided to make a YouTube-friendly version all about cats! I recorded the song with Christopher R. Burns at 30 Rock. The video was animated by the super funny Keith Vincent and Aleksey Nuzhnov.
Supervising Producer/Composer
To celebrate July 4th I wrote this song that celebrates the number one food grilled during the holiday - hot dogs! I produced and recorded the track with Aaron Nevezie at the Bunker Studio. Producer/editor Adrienne Silverman cut this hilarious video and even created some animated dancing hot dogs!
Writer/Producer/Director/Composer
This is a quirky little song I wrote for Carly and Chica to teach kids some space facts. I produced and recorded the song with the mix master Jared Tuttle at Definition 6. The video was edited by Neil Dombrow.
Writer/Producer/Director/Composer
This is a music video I directed for the UniKids show Snug's House. I also wrote the song with my great pal/collaborator Carly Ciarrocchi and produced the track with Chris Cubeta, Gary Atturio and Nick Krill at Studio G.
We wanted to do a Barry White-style song so I broke out the major 7th chords and this is what happened! And with expert playing from Chris, Gary and Nick, we actually got pretty close to the sound!
And, as always, superb performances from Carly and Chris Palmeri as Snug.
Writer/Producer/Composer
This is a song I wrote called The Holiday Gift Wrap. Because they're two presents “rapping” about the holidays. Get it? The song was originally only for YouTube but was so well received that it ended up on-air.
The video was designed and animated by by Aaron Stewart. I produced and recorded the track with the master Jared Tuttle at Definition 6. Rodd Houston and Dyllon Burnside expertly performed the “wrap.”
Writer/Producer/Composer
Sprout needed a song to celebrate summer so I wrote this little ditty. I recorded and produced it with Christopher R. Burns at 30 Rock. It was designed and animated by Brandon Lori.
Composer
I wrote, produced and SANG the theme song for this new Universal Kids short form series, Food Eats Kid. I produced and recorded the track with Aaron Nevezie at The Bunker Studio.

I co-wrote this song with frequent collaborator Carly Ciarrocchi to celebrate all the newness of New Year’s! We recorded it with our most trusted audio producer Jared Tuttle at Definition 6. The video was edited by Neil Dombrow with animation by Steve Kutney.

Building on the success of The Holiday Gift Wrap music vid, I reworked the lyrics and wrote four little IDs to celebrate the kindness of the holidays which were again animated by Aaron Stewart.
Composer/Singer
My colleague Liz Erickson came up with a fun idea for this piece of branded content for Kohl's and asked me to help write the song. So we got together at my desk and came up with this little country-fried ditty about the silliest pop (pop pop pop) quiz you've ever heard! I recorded the song with Christopher R. Burns at 30 Rock.
Writer/Producer/Composer/Singer
To kick off Sprout's Back to New back to school celebration I wrote this song. It's a fun, drum heavy track with a simple hook and a kid chant. In addition to writing the song, I also sang it, wrote the script and produced the campaign. The music was produced and recorded by the awesome Jared Tuttle at Definition 6.
Writer/Producer/Director/Composer
This was the first piece of custom content we created for Sprout's YouTube channel and proved that we could do more than just clip pulls and mashups. Rather than copying popular Youtube trends, I came up with an idea that could be its own trend. Kids love singing, they love dancing, and they love surprises. Edited by Howie Ellis and with music production by Jared Tuttle, this video combines all three of the things with a simple lyric and concept. And it paid off, as it quickly became the most watched piece of original content on our channel. And it continues to be one of Sprout’s most watched Youtube videos.
Writer/Producer/Composer
After "It's Not Summer Without Sprout" and "It's Not Summer Without Cats," here comes "Universal Kids R U!" based off the same track. Christopher R. Burns re-worked the music, giving it a dancey 80s vibe and my colleagues helped with vocals. Jess Haring singing lead and Miriam Sha Shamelashvili on backing vocals. And Brandon Lori and Keith Vincent did another incredible animation job.
Writer/Producer/Composer
I wrote the song and produced this music video for the cast of the Sunny Side Up Show. It was produced by our friends at Cause and Effect with Jamie Hubbard directing.
Writer/Producer/Composer
This is the FIRST song I ever wrote for Sprout in 2011. It went on to be nominated for a PromaxBDA Best Original Children’s Programming Spot and was used as the anthem song for Sprout’s first appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade version of the song was re-recorded with famed produced RJD2.
This video, directed by Mustafa Khan, is still one of Sprout's most watched YouTube videos of all time.
Writer/Producer/Director/Composer
The Sunny Side Up Show aired live every day from 9am-12pm. It starred Chica the Chicken and a revolving cast of four human hosts. When one of the hosts left to pursue other opportunities I was asked to create a promo to introduce the new host. They told me the new host played the ukelele so I figured I’d write a ditty for her to sing on her way to Sprout. And judging by the reaction from Sprout’s Facebook page, parents and kids instantly fell in love with Carly and the song.
Writer/Producer/Composer
I wrote this song for YouTube to capitalize on parents searching for songs to keep their kids the months of the year. What better way to do that than a song about birthdays! The video uses a mixture of original GFX and animation from Sprout's series Nina's World.
Writer/Producer/Composer
To build up the excitement for the premiere of The Chica Show holiday special, I wrote and produced a series of interstitials featuring the cast of The Chica Show called "Chica's Holiday Home Movies." This one is my favorite and features a song I wrote about one of Chica's (and my) favorite foods - corn!
Composer
Sprout needed a theme song for their first appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade so they decided to use my Squeaka With Chica song. However, I thought it'd be fun to update it so I worked with legendary producer RJD2 to produce a new version of the song. And here it is live on NBC on Thanksgiving 2012!
Writer/Producer/Composer
This is the FIRST kids song I ever wrote back in 2009 (I don't even have the original video - this was downloaded from YouTube). The song and video were to promote the United Way of Philadelphia's Stuff the Bus program which collects school supplies for kids in need.
We shot the video with a miniDV camera, no lights and no crew. Just a room full of adorable kids having a blast.
I produced and recorded the song with Craig Van Hise.
At Universal Kids I was a writer, director, producer, editor and songwriter. I was nominated for an Emmy as a producer on the series Snug’s House, I led creative on all YouTube content, oversaw series launches for shows like Top Chef Jr., Floogals, Clangers, Kody Kapow, and more, wrote numerous songs for popular YouTube music videos, and won a bunch of awards along the way.
Writer/Director
This has to be one of my crowning achievements. Having comedian Matt Iseman dress up like Vince Neil and sing a power ballad in promotion of a kids show. The idea is simple. Since Matt is one of the hosts of the show and often does play-by-play during the races, I figured rather than speak the commentary, he should sing it!
Thanks to Cynthia Mazur for the awesome design and animation work and Christopher R. Burns for the great mix.
Writer/Producer
The ninjas on American Ninja Warrior Junior can do a lot of things but one of the things they do best is get big air. Did I say big air? I meant, BIG AIR!
Edited by John Werner, mixed by Christopher R. Burns with GFX by Luciano Tapia.
Writer/Producer
The hosts of American Ninja Warrior Junior are an esteemed bunch. Gold medal gymnasts, former NFL players, acclaimed comedians and world class goofballs.
Edited by Herbert Orellana and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Writer/Producer
We want our audience know what it's like for a Junior Warrior to run the course. But rather than just show it, we wanted our audience to experience it. So we broke out the GoPros and created this video game version of the course.
Edited by Herbert Orellana and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Producer/Director
To make Top Chef Jr relevant and discoverable to YouTube audiences, we co-opted the popular YouTube challenge Eat It or Wear It and made TCJR versions featuring the chefs and hosts Vanessa Lachey and Curtis Stone.
Shot by DP Christopher Lanier, edited by Howie Ellis and Adrienne Silverman and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Writer/Producer/Director
This might've been the most fun I've ever had on a shoot. While filming YouTube content for Top Chef Jr, we pranked the chefs with a remote control rat during one of their cooking classes. With the help from the Magical Elves, production coordinator Tyler Kennedy and producer/DP Christopher Lanier, we set up this elaborate prank involving over ten GoPros, one remote control rat and one Bluetooth speaker making rat noises. Enjoy!
Producer/Director
We wanted to see what it's like to be in the Top Chef Jr kitchen so we strapped a bunch of GoPros to the chefs and their tools and watched what happened!
Writer/Producer
NOTE - 360 video not supported on Safari
This was the network's very first foray into 360 video and with the help of the Magical Elves, Christopher Lanier, Ron Yoshida from Hello World, mixing from Hobo Audio and, of course, the wonderful Vanessa Lachey, we're pretty happy with it!
Producer/Editor
This is a funky mashup of GIFs I smashed together and put over a glitchy, twitchy track. A little eye and ear candy to satisfy short attention spans.
Producer
See what happens when the cameras stop rolling and the chefs start vlogging!
Writer/Producer/Director
This next batch of challenges we're filmed during a larger brand shoot with one camera (thanks 4K for giving us some close ups)! Check out these kids trying to open a bag of chips without making a sound. Thanks to our friends at Insomnia for the shoot!
This challenge has kids trying to open a bag of chips without making a sound.

What happens when you combine a popular YouTube challenge with adorable puppies? The Noise Obstacle Course Challenge – Puppy Edition! Two teams try to lead their pups through a noise-laden obstacle course and not set off The Noise-O-Meter. These were produced by All Ages Productions, edited by Neil Dombrow and mixed by Christopher R. Burns and Eric Pfeiffer.
Get ready to meet the quietest and cutest dogs on YouTube!
Writer/Producer/Director
For this challenge, contestants played a Try Not to Laugh version of The Noise. From covering each other in paint, to throwing pies in each other’s (and their own) faces, these kids did whatever they could to make each other laugh and trigger The Noise-O-Meter. Produced by All Ages Productions, edited by Adrienne Silverman and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Writer/Producer/Director
Playing off the popular obstacle course trend, we challenged two teams of kids to get through an elaborate Noise-themed obstacle course without setting off The Noise-O-Meter. Produced by All Ages Productions, edited by Neil Dombrow and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Writer/Producer/Director
We shot this during a two-day shoot with All Ages Productions and the All That's Good team in Philadelphia with ten kids doing various YouTube-inspired Noise challenges. This challenge sees the kids take on some of the toughest challenges from The Noise!
Writer/Producer/Director
This is another popular YouTube challenge we co-opted to promote The Noise. Kids need to get into and out of this kiddie pool filled with slime without setting off the Noise-O-Meter. Some did. Some didn't. But it doesn't matter because they all had a blast getting completely covered in yellow goo!
Produced by All Ages Productions, edited by Adrienne Silverman and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
Writer/Producer
The Unviersal Kids show The Noise is super fun to watch and even more fun to play. So the UK digital team created an awesome app that lets people compete in their own Noise challenges. We had the show's host Faruq give us a little demonstration for our YouTube channel.
This was edited by Adrienne Silverman and mixed by Christopher R. Burns
Writer/Producer
We wanted to give our YouTube audience an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of The Noise set so we gave Faruq an iPhone and let him do his thing!
At Sprout I was a writer, producer, director, and songwriter, creating everything from launch campaigns starring William Shatner to writing the theme song for Sprout’s first appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I directed dozens of live action shoots, wrote dozens of songs, won numerous Promax BDA awards along the way, and created some of the network’s most popular YouTube videos.
Writer/Producer/Director
With only one season of Floogals to work with we had to get creative to keep things fresh. So I came up with Floogals Action Figure Theater! Take clay figures of the characters and recreate scenes from the show using actual audio from the episodes. Shot by Tom Arnold and Tom Sutch and edited by Adrienne Silverman.
Writer/Producer/Director
The Floogals theme song is super popular on Sprout's YouTube channel so we decided to "repackage" the song using another popular YouTube trend, Acapella! Working with master music man Christopher R. Burns, editor Neil Dombrow and animator Steve Kutny, we made this super fun video with three adorable kids dressed like Floogals. And it's already a huge hit on Sprout's YouTube!
Writer/Producer/Composer
To promote a marathon of Floogals episodes I wrote this little ditty with Jared Tuttle at Definition 6. Neil Dombrow cut the spot. GFX by Thornberg and Forrester.
Writer/Producer
As part of this Cablefax award-winning campaign, I worked directly with Floogals producers Zodiak Kids to write and produce these custom animated interstitials. These were the very first glimpse of Floogals on Sprout and introduced the show's lovable, quirky characters to our audience.
Writer/Producer
This high-energy, action-packed launch trailer, masterfully edited by Neil Dombrow, kicked the launch campaign off with an intergalactic bang!
Writer/Producer
This character spot was edited by the masterful Howie Ellis.

This campaign won the Silver Award at PromaxBDA 2014 award in the PSA Campaign category.
After the below CTA searching for the Kindest Kid aired, Sprout received hundreds of submissions from kind kids all across the country. From this stack of incredibly kind kids, four were chosen as finalists and a small crew and I were tasked with traveling the country to meet them.
It was an honor to meet these kids and their families and be trusted enough to tell their stories. The Today Show loved the videos so much that they not only featured the videos but invited all four finalists to appear live on theshow during the run up to the Kindest Kid Countdown (the live stunt I wrote and produced starring Sunny Side Up Show host Kelly and Chica).
Writer/Producer/Composer
Just in time for Halloween, here's a bone shaking new song I wrote for Universal Kids! I recorded and produced the song with Aaron Nevezie and Nolan Thies at the Bunker Studio and tracked vox with Eric Pfeifer at 30 Rock. The video was produced by Insomnia and edited by Neil Dombrow, with GFX by Luciano Tapia.
This video is was nominated for a PromaxBDA 2017 award.
Writer/Producer/Editor
To eventize the launch of Sprout's The Chica Show, I came up with an idea for Chica and her famous "squeak" to take over regularly scheduled Sprout programming. It was a huge task as full episodes had to be re-cut and scheduled for air. We made over a dozen of these takeovers and were awarded the Gold Award at PromaxBDA 2013 for Lower Third Promotion.

Sprout’s web team had many-a-thing they wanted to promote for Spring 2012 so we created a campaign for a series of BarkBark produced and Francine Macdougal directed spots. The campaign included this :45 anthem spot and four :30 cutdowns. This anthem spot won the Silver Award at PromaxBDA 2013 for Art Direction & Design: Video Based Website Promotion.

This is one of a series of IDs I wrote for "The Furchester Hotel." So awesome to have Cookie Monster and Elmo read lines I wrote, even if it's just a few of them!

And now Cookie Monster solo!

As part of our Aaron Stewart animated Halloween IDs (see Halloween Dream Costumes), we made these funny little takes on traditional Halloween Knock Knock Jokes.

Every kid has a dream costume they want to make for Halloween. So I pretended to be a kid and wrote this little bits about the craziest costumes I could come up with. But I also enlisted some REAL kids who didn't need to pretend and they helped me make them even crazier!

The one and only Oscar the Grouch came by Sprout to celebrate “Oscar Weekend.” And what a treat it was to work with him! Recording ADR with Caroll Spinney was definitely a career highlight! This is one of the promos I wrote and directed.
Writer/Producer/Director
As a lifelong Seinfeld fan, it was a huge treat to write and direct this spot with Jason Alexander interviewing the animated character he voices on the Sprout series, Kody Kapow. It's heavy meta. Or not.
Writer/Producer/Director
This is a franchise we made to support the launch of the Sprout original series, "Kody Kapow." To make these videos discoverable to our YouTube audience, we mixed three things kids love - karate, challenges and making messes! These were insanely fun to shoot. Violet Zaki was awesome and the kids were pros.
The vids were produced by All Ages Productions, edited by Adrienne Silverman and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.

To promote the Summer of Sprout airing of Horton Hear's a Who I put on my Dr. Seuss hat (it's pretty big) and wrote some Seussian copy to compliment the movie.

To keep the excitement up for Sprout's newest original series, Astroblast, we worked hand-in-hand with the show's production company, Soup2Nuts, to create a series of custom animated interstitials for on-air promotions (a first for Sprout). In this one, Meeka and M'Goats introduce one of the interstitials that features Sputnik, one of the show's characters, actually sending an animated smoothie down to earth!
This story was animated by Heidi Sullivan (heidisullivan.com) and mixed by Christopher R. Burns..

As promotion for Sprout's original series Nina's World, which is all about every day being extraordinary, we asked kids to tell us about their own extraordinary days. We took their submissions and made this series of beautifully simple animated interstitials.
This story was by Heidi Sullivan (heidisullivan.com) and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.
This custom interstitial features the animated version of Chica visiting the Frosty Star smoothie cafe at the Astroblast Space Station!
This story was animated by Cynthia Mazur and mixed by Christopher R. Burns.

I got to work with the awesome Leslie Mantingly from Peacock Productions and Sheinelle Jones of NBC News on creating a series of interstitials celebrating African Americans for Black History Month. The series ties influential though not always famous African Americans from history with young African Americans of today following in their footsteps.
We made five interstitials with animations by Cynthia Mazur. This is one of my favorites. It demonstrates how Joseph Douglas, the first African American to be named master violinist (and nephew of Fredrick Douglass), paved the way for young African American musicians of today like internationally recognized violinist Andrew Koonce.
Writer/Producer/Director
To reinvent some of our older content, I came up with an idea to offer play by play commentary on scenes from the shows our audiences have seen thousands of times. So we got two really super cute kids, wrote some funny jokes about bears jumping rope and this is what we got!
This Black History Month interstitial demonstrates how Ebony magazine founder and entrepreneur John Johnson paved the way for young African American entrepreneurs of today like teenage tech whiz Jaylen Bledsoe.

For the launch of Astroblast, a new Sprout original, our sister network Syfy let us "take over" their programming and air some Astroblast episodes. So we took the "take over" to the extreme and had Sprout's Sunny Side Up Show hosts Carly and Chica "take over" Syfy's master control. We made about 8 of these. These are my favorites.
Also, we turned this around with no budget in two days.

To sell the higher ups on getting behind this original Sprout series, I worked with editor Howie Ellis and the NBCU ArtWorks team using very few elements to create this super sizzling sizzle.
Writer/Producer/Director
Here are some cute space-themed IDs I made for the network.

I got to direct Mr. Shatner in this spot I wrote for his appearance on Sprout's Sunny Side Up Show. I think I tried to hug him after. He didn't go for it.

This is a Crayola sponsored spot encouraging kids to tell Sprout about their most awesome adventures for a chance to see them brought to life in beautiful animation on Sprout. To get kids inspired I wrote what I thought would be some pretty awesome adventures! Then the brilliant Alex Mapar animated the stories.
Writer/Producer
As a result of the CTA, we received a number of super imaginative stories from kids all over the country. And as we promised, we brought them to life in gorgeous animation!

My colleague Liz Erickson came up with a fun idea for this piece of branded content for Kohl's and asked me to help write the song. So we got together and my desk and came up with this little countryfied ditty about the silliest pop (pop pop pop) quiz you've ever heard! I recorded the song with Christopher R. Burns at 30 Rock.

Building off of our popular YouTube unboxing series, "Open That Box", we were asked to create this piece of branded content for the Fisher Price Code-a-pillar. It's a cute spot with the most adorable VO in the world!
Writer/Producer/Director
This time we were asked by ad sales to create a generic toy that could be unboxed and that Kohl's could sponsor. So we repurposed a fictional toy we created from another shoot, the Uni-Dino-Bot (half unicorn, half dinosaur, half robot) and let a kid go wild with it!
Writer/Producer/Editor
We needed to come up with a spot to cross promote Sprout’s Number One Dad’s Day and Universal’s Despicable Me 2. Since Gru (Steve Carrell’s character) is a dad who loves his adopted girls, we figured why not get some parenting tips from the man himself. We shot this on a press day with Steve Carrell and worked closely with Universal to bring the spot to air.
Writer/Producer
To cross promote Night at the Museum 3, Sprout invited the film's stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson for our take on Between Two Ferns...except instead of two ferns we had two chickens, Chica and her dad, Mr. C. This is part 1 and was directed by John Werner.
And here's part 2!
I write and create podcasts for kids! Take a look (I mean listen)!

I created, wrote and composed this Pinna original series with my dear friend Carly Ciarrocchi. In each episode, Carly and Kaitlin Becker take listeners on a story adventure where everyone must get up and MOVE or the story can't go on!
It was directed and sound designed by Elisheba Ittoop and Executive Produced by Anne Richards. The songs were produced and mixed by Aaron Nevezie.

I had the honor to write 11 episodes of this Pinna original series. The series, created by Anne Richards, is about an inquisitive young boy and his male babysitter as they go on adventures that explore the alphabet. It won a 2020 Parents’ Gold Choice Award.

Kid Quixote is a documentary film I’ve been working on since 2017. It’s about the children of Still Waters in a Storm--a now defunct after school program in Brooklyn--who use the power of theater to tell their stories as immigrants in America.
(A clip was featured in Valeria Luiselli’s Op-Ed in the New York Times.)
This is our fundraising video for the film. We hope it inspires people to help us get this film finished.
At a time when immigrant children are being horrifically separated from their families by the US government, here is a song written and performed by children from immigrant families asking for help. It's called The Rescuing Song and was featured in NYTimes.
BabyFirst is a television network that features the cutest little characters teaching the simplest little lessons to the littlest of kids. I‘ve worked as a freelance screenwriter for the network, writing for the shows Harry the Bunny, My Animal Friends with Robi, Playtime With Al and 1,2,3 Race, which I also helped develop.
Writer
Harry the Bunny is a super sweet and super cute series on BabyFirst about funny bunny named Harry and his little friend Larry. I wrote eight episodes of the second season and this is one of my favorites. It features Harry and Larry trying to figure out what type of person goes to the moon!
Writer
This time Harry and Larry are trying to figure out what exactly an orchestra conductor does!
Writer
I've written over twenty "Playtime with Al" interstitials for BabyFirst. Al is a sweet and silly sock puppet who tries his hardest to figure things out. This time he's trying really really hard to figure out a riddle. Let's see if he can do it!
